Count Loft is built with a client-first static architecture. All calculators compute their mathematical formulas directly in your device's web browser using client-side JavaScript.
When you enter numbers — whether salaries, loan amounts, mortgage balances, medical metrics (BMI/calorie counts), or personal taxes — those figures are processed entirely in your device's memory. They are never transmitted to our servers or stored in any database.
2. Browser Local Storage
To provide a comfortable user experience, Count Loft uses your browser's localStorage exclusively for:
- Theme Preferences: Remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode.
- Recent Tools: Remembering your frequently visited calculators locally on your device.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser's site settings.
3. Shareable URLs
When you click the "Share" or "Copy Result" button, calculator parameters may be encoded as query parameters in your browser address bar (e.g. ?amount=20000&rate=6). This allows you to bookmark your calculation or send the link to someone else. These query parameters are never logged on our backend.
4. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising
Count Loft is a free, ad-supported website. We may display standard non-personalized or contextual advertisements via vetted advertising networks. These networks may use technical cookies to serve ads and prevent fraud.
